When you change plans you're given a credit for the unused portion of the old plan and get a prorated charge for the new plan for the time between the day you switch until the end of your billing cycle plus a month in advance.

Also, if you switched plans due to using too many minutes, then that wasn't the best idea as your minutes also get prorated for the amount of time you had the plan so if you used all your minutes half way through your billing cycle and switched plans, you'd be charged for half of the minutes you used.

I didn't even use all the minutes I had I only switched plans because I wanted to be able to make calls before 5pm which I wasn't able to do do with the et dollar plan. Mathieu explained it to me . Thanks

Hi Brenda,

With prepaid, whenever you change plans you must pay it's entirety right away. Which is why it is recommended to change your plan a few days before the next renewal date. If you 35$ plan had just been renewed, and you then switched to the 50$ plan, it will be 85$.

Oh you were on prepaid. Lmao that explains it perfectly. Should have read the tags and the fact she said "topped up" lol. Too early for me
