I have just gotten a text yesterday or two days ago saying my plan has started a new data cycle and I haven't used any data prior to having the new cycle so this is two cycles in a row I may not use my data because apparently I have used up 50 $ plus data it's next to impossible this is the second time happening and I'm not impressed at all, ps my phone has also been screwing up when it's a brand new phone and it's been lagging out clicking random buttons and more and my mom's the one paying so she can't afford this stupidity

How much data do you have in your plan? Do you have it enabled? Even leaving it on can have apps, weather, email, etc. update in the background.

And if the device is malfunctioning, it could be using data without your knowledge or permission.

I have one gig and no my data has not been on I'm not dumb I do know how to use my phone but what doesn't make sense to me is I'm getting the text messages for strictly 50 $ no others for 10 or any other amount I have received no warnings of data usage other then the 50 $ worth now and this is the second time I'm bringing this up

No one said you were dumb, but you did say your phone had been malfunctioning did you not? Anyway good luck.

Looks like there has been some uncontrolled data leakage and other issues.

The quickest fix would be to back up and complete a factory reset. If the phone is still laggy and clicking random buttons then it may need to be brought to Koodo for warranty

$50 doesn't sound like it could fully be uncontrolled data use. That's a fair amount of data. And doesn't koodo send an alert at $10 first? So, she should have noticed before, no?

You would think so but any one of you can look at my phone and see it has not been on or have I receive a text for ANY amount other then the 50 dollars now this is the second or third time it's done this to me and if asked people to look into it from koodo but they keep coming up with the same answers

Thank you I appreciate you saying it and not treating me like I don't know how to run my phone I will use what you said and I just don't know how I keep getting the 50 $ data
