Also, the notice went out on May 16 and they are charging for calling these numbers as of May 1 - no notice.  Is the May 1 a typo?

So here's what I got. Some customers were abusing the add on by calling some sort of numbers in the USA, possibly relay or other type numbers (they wouldn't get specific) so to combat that abuse these exchanges were removed from the add on.

I have a home business and need to be on daily conference calls that starts with 712 and a couple other numbers that have been excluded from the US plan.  I have a huge bill on my last statement because I never knew of the changes. Is there an add on that I can use to cover the numbers that are not covered anymore?

Any idea what would be the cheapest way to call these excluded numbers.

I don't exactly understand which numbers are excluded. On the list it 712-432 (any of the digit combinations.) Does that mean 712 & 432 or what.

It means any number with the area code and exchange combination can't be called toll free

Check out voip.ms for a low cost way to make international calls and even get a USA number your associates can call you at.

Also check out Skype2go, it transforms international numbers into local Canadian numbers. Cost is 2.99$ per month or 32$ a year for unlimited north America . It uses no data.

That is a very bad way to deal with customers, to send a random text message. I think it is very very unprofessional and would have expected an email at the very least. I cannot find this supposed text message notification anywhere. I am extremely unhappy about being billed, I feel very victimized and upset and am deciding to leave Koodo based on this. I feel it is illegitimate.
