NP Kimberly, the first one is the Canadian carrier branded models and you'll need to get them unlocked, the second (N7100) is the factory unlocked international version & you can just pop in your SIM Card and away you go. If possible I'd go with the N7100 because but is already unlocked & also you get updates to the OS months before the carrier branded models. If the S-Pen isn't something you think you'd use a lot though I'd suggest getting the Galaxy S4 from Koodo, I have it as well as both of the Galaxy Note 2's I listed and I think it's a much better phone & still a great size display for media consumption at 5 inches. The display on the S4 is full HD 1080p and looks absolutely amazing compared to the Galaxy Note's 720p display which is still a nice display don't get me wrong buy just not as crisp and clear at all. Any high end Samsung device is a great choice though.
