Dear Sir,

I am a newcomer to Nanaimo and have no friends here. I have brought an unlocked phone with me and want to test this phone is work or not in your network.

I visited your Woofgrove center to ask a SIM card for the test. Unfortunately, the center couldn't give any help to me. The staff denied offering the SIM card of her workphone.

Is there another way to test my phone?

Best regards,

Welcome Nolja! That is very strange, the Koodo kiosk in my mall does test devices free of charge. Can you try a FutureShop or BestBuy location? Or maybe London Drugs (I believe they sell Koodo services)?

In the meantime, you can check your phone specs to see if they match the following:

UMTS/HSPA 850MHz and/or 1900MHz

Good luck!

Carrefour de l'Estrie? See Genevive.

@Chad: I believe Nolja is in B.C. (Nanaimo), I doubt he/she will drive to Carrefour de l'Estrie soon :oP

Thank you, TopperCNC. I'm going to ask the munufacturer if my phone match the spec you mentioned.

Have a good day!

Worst case scenario is you just activate a Koodo account/SIM card and see if it works. If it doesn't, just immediately cancel. That's it.
