Where are the minutes of incoming and out going calls stored?? On the Sim card, Phone memory or a sd card?.
Reason for the question is when you switch your Koodo sim card to another phone does the Sim carry the previous minutes from the previous

You have airtime usage all wrong. There is absolutely NOTHING "stored" or "saved". It's all on the network side. When you switch phones, the network knows how many minutes you've already used, as well as texts and data.

The airtime minutes are tracked by Koodo's systems. Your phone may also offer a feature where it will calculate the minutes used, but this is only an estimate and may not be accurate.

If you switch your SIM card to another phone, the new phone will not know or be aware of the minutes used in the other phone.

If you need to know the number of minutes used on your account, you can check in your Self Serve account.

I think OP means, what are minutes linked to, in which case: the SIM is probably the most correct of the three answers. so your minutes are tied to the SIM, phone number, and not the phone itself.

That would still be incorrect. Your answer to the OP would imply that once they switch sim cards, all is lost. This is not the case. Everything is on the network side and that's the easiest, simplest and correct way of putting it.

This isn't like clearing your ppv records from a hacked satellite smart card before the company has a chance to charge you. Your phone minutes are tracked as you are using them, and recorded on the database realtime, based on the info transmitted from your sim card. Has nothing to do with your hardware (phone).
