If I'm in the US for 3 weeks 7 bucks a day is ridiculous when I used to get a month for 40 dollars. Even 100 max is way too much.  Who's dumb idea was this? Maybe it's time to find another service provider.

They are no longer available. If you are going for a longer trip, I understand that some of the old 30 day add ons can still be added by calling koodo (or contacting them by Facebook messenger), but aside from that it's either easy roam or pay per use rates.

You can look at another service provider but every other carrier has the same thing. Telus does have packages for the US still but not sure about the other two main branded carriers and Koodo is a subsidiary. Then there's freedom with a monthly add-on for US roaming. But if you're looking to spend that much may as well get a local sim from T-Mobile or a competitive MVNO down there.

 their loss. Instead of paying 40 dollars a month 3 or 4 times a year They will get ZERO from me.  Probably cheaper to pick up one of those disposable pay as you go phones from Walmart in the US...Canada...just doesn't get it.

You don't even need to pick up another phone. Just pop in a sim when you're in the US.

@Mike

You still need to pick up another phone. Unfortunately phone locked to Koodo won't work with a different sim.

@Goran I only don't want someone on this forum to complain latter that they bought sim card and it didn't work on their Koodo locked phone. Some people consider unlocking phone and popping another sim as a big inconvenience.

Time to ditch Koodo/Telus...why would should I support a company that supports a carbon tax?..and has all its call centres off shore WHERE THERE IS NO CARBON TAX..and cheap sweatshop labour.

Ok everyone gets it: you have several reasons for not liking Telus. You're quickly approaching being a troll by adding in more reasons to stop being with Telus/Koodo hours after another time.

To my knowledge, koodo does have call centres in both Montreal and Toronto, in addition to the centres overseas.
