When I enter my password for voicemail, my phone calls a new number.

My second cell phone is a Samsung Elevate. It shows me I have a voice mail, and when I call to check it, it asks for my password. I enter it, and then the phone dials my password as if it was a new phone call. I am not sure how to make it stop doing this.

or the pound (#) key - this is usually what you have to enter after your voicemail password.

Thanks for the reply guys. I tried pressing both and it still didn't work, but because of your questions I tried just putting in the number and pressing nothing at all, and it worked! So thank you, your answers helped me solve the problem.
