When does the Canada-wide data promo plan (SK & MB) end exactly? My contract with Rogers ends at the end of April, I don't wanna pay cancellation fee ect., so when is the last date I should port my number before it's too late to get the plan?

Hi there Dan... By now there is not date, it is an ongoing promo, so it will be hard to say when this will end... If your contract is up in April, I am pretty sure that the Early Cancellation Fee is not as high as you think... Probably will be worth it to pay it and secure a good plan...

Never underestimate Rogers' ability to overcharge for anything and everything, especially if Dan was on a 3yr contract. It'd be best if he called and inquire, of course, but I wouldn't be surprised if they pulled something out of left field, for their amusement and profit...

Koodo cannot disclose when a specific plan or when a plan expires. If they're currentlly offering your best jump on shop so you don't miss the promo.

Just a thought here. Is it a 3 year contract that ends in April? The rules have changed that carriers can only carry 2 year contracts so maybe you won't have any cancellations fees. Wouldn't hurt to call or visit Rogers and ask. Remember if you want to port your # don't cancel your phone with Rogers before you activated with Koodo. Koodo will take care of the rest.

How confident are you with that answer? Because I'm stuck with Rogers until the end of May and I would LOVE to get out earlier with no cancellation fees!

The CRTC changes have no impact on contracts signed before the changes took effect. So even if you only have a month or 2 left, any cancellation is still based on what your original contract said. Which may mean like $20 to cancel, or it may mean there was a minimum $100 for early cancellation. You would just have to call them to check.
