When will prepaid SIM cards be available again?

I need to get a new prepaid SIM card as my old one has expired. I've been to 3 different Koodo places to buy -just- a prepaid SIM card, to no luck. Finally a rep at the last place I went to told me that Koodo is "retooling" their prepaid system so they aren't available right now. When will prepaid SIM cards be available again, or where can I be sure to get one?

Koodo corporate stores only. Always best to call ahead.

The partners (Walmart, BestBuy, etc) have not had them for quite a while. Some independent "sales" staff have been known to hand out "retooled truthfulness" when talking about anything that won't earn them a commission.

From time to time, they do appear on eBay.ca .... the Canadian site, not the US one. Make sure it's new and prepaid. They are a disposable item.

Koodo could save us some trouble by allowing the original SIM owner to re-activate an expired one on the same account within a 6-month window.

Thanks for replying so quickly! What do you mean by Koodo corporate stores?

They are also available online from Bestbuy on their website.

Koodo corporate stores would be the koodo kiosks you see in malls.

That's where I went today, where the guy told me they wouldn't be available for awhile :(

Followed up on Mathieu's lead. Find something else you need from Best Buy for $5 minimum and order it there to get free shipping on orders over $25. Otherwise, the price inflates to over $35 with taxes and shipping.

If you follow thru, let us know how it turned out.
