What happens to my credit I used to trade in an old phone for an upgrade when I want to return the phone that I got?

Recently upgraded to a nexus 4 and I traded in an old cell phone to reduce the purchase cost of the nexus 4. What if I wanted to return my nexus 4, do I get my traded in phone back? How does it work?

I do not believe that you would get your old phone back as it is highly unlikely they would still have it there. I would assume you would be credited for the nexus 4 price.

Why are you returning the phone?

Trade ins are effectively final, and the phone is very likely not at the store any longer. If you were exchanging for a different phone I assume the credit would come off of that, if not my assumption is it's probably lost but your best bet would be to check with the store you traded it in at (Koodo/Best Buy/Mobile Shop will potentially have different rules on this).

Ya you'd have those credits available to be used for a new phone from Koodo at the point of return. As the credits have no cash value you have to get a new phone at the time the other is returned or you'll forfeit those credits.
I'm assuming there's nothing wrong with the phone just that you seen a price drop in the play store? Well as it is your going to lose out retuning it so it's not worth the lower price elsewhere.
