What happens if I bring my own phone to my Koodo plan, while having a -23 tab? Thanks.

Nothing really. The equipment would change but the tab would stay the same.

You just swap the phone and continue to use your plan.
Once your tab reached $0, you have choice to switch to 10% discount (BYOD)

If you wish to take advantage of the 10% plan discount, then you need to bring your Tab balance to a zero or positive value.

Don't get 10% off your bill. Just let it go into the positive. 10% of your bill instead will go towards a positive tab. What this means is you can renew your koodo tab over x # of months to help substotize for the cost of another phone. The 10% month off your bill just leaves you tab as is and doesn't increase.

This is not a good option for customers who get phones from sources other than Koodo/not offered by Koodo (Huawei devices, Note II/III, HTC One, LG G2, high end WIndows Phones, etc.) because the positive Tab will be essentially wasted on them. It could come in handy if they need a cheaper phone in a pinch but usually they won't go for it.

I am in a similar situation. I just bought an unlocked Samsung Mega 6.3 Phablet and want to use it on my current Koodo account. I will be deactivating my Blackberry and getting a sim for my Samsung Mega. It sounds, from other posts that all I will have to pay is 10 bucks for the sim and not have to pay off my $91 tab to do so. Am I right?

Right. You don't need to pay off your tab in your case.
To swap your phone:
Self serve > Mobile Phone > Swap Mobile Phone
Step 1 : "Upgrade my current phone"
Step 2 : "Does the new phone you're upgrading to use a SIM card?"
Select "yes", and enter a new sim # then continue

Thx, I will take the new mega to the kiosk tomorrow and get a compatible sim for it. I don't believe the blackberry sim will work.
