What is your warranty policy on the battery of Samsung S5 Neo?

Hi! I'm 10 months into using my Samsung S5 Neo and the battery lasts about half a day on standby (wifi, mobile data, and bluetooth off; battery saver mode [always] on). In the past with my Samsung III and IV the Koodo shops have order me a new battery and swapped it in store for my drained one without any charge -as long as they could verify that the phone AND battery aren't physically or water damaged. They send out my drained battery with warranty details showing that it's been less than a year since I've had my phone.

I was told by a rep at a kiosk that this practice is no longer the case. My next steps are to send my phone out without my battery so that Samsung can confirm it's an issue with the battery (without the battery?). Once that step is completed, I will have to buy for a new battery, since the 1-year Samsung warranty does not cover Samsung batteries.

Can I get a clarification? This sounds like a major change in warranty and customer service.

Samsung Warranty Information states: "Please note that this does not include consumables items such as batteries, bulbs, and ink cartridges unless listed above under 'general information'". Under Product/Mobile Phones, they mention: Accessories included with mobile phone - warranty period 12 months. Cases, holster, 90-days. Which, in a way, contradicts their previous statement because the battery is considered an accessory.

I just finished chatting with a representative on Samsung Live Chat. The rep stated: "the battery is under warranty for 1 year from the date of purchase". The rep insisted that I (you) contact Samsung's Phone Support Team at 1-800-726-7864, between the hours of 08:30 AM and 12:00 AM EST "so that they will check the details and file the battery replacement as required".

I too recall the battery warranty exchange program a few years back. I'll ask if changes were made. Which Koodo kiosk did you visit?
