What is the current cancellation and porting policy?

I would like to cancel my koodo service and port my number to another company? What is the cancellation policy now? Do I still need to pay for extra 30 days of services that I do not use? Or the service be cancelled in the end of the current billing period?

Hi Arthur,

You will have to pay off your tab (if any) before being able to close your account. If you are wanting to keep your number with the new company, go activate with the new one and ask them to port it over. While doing this, the new company will most likely be cancelling your Koodo service as well. After the process is done, you might want to call Koodo just to make sure everything was closed properly and that you are all done with them.

What about the 30 days notice? do you still have to pay the 30 days that you will not be using?

You don't need give them 30 days notice.
After you called in to cancel your account, your cancellation date is  set for the end of the billing cycle. So whenever the last day of your billing cycle is when your service will stop.
Koodo will send you a final bill includes your remaining Tab balance and overage charges if any.
You can access your self serve fr 90 days after you cancel, so you can always  check your remaining balance there.
