Your number will be reserved for up to 90 days to give you sufficient time to reactivate your service. After 90 days from the day the service is cancelled, the number is released and anyone can take your number. You may need to choose an in market plan if your plan is no longer available.
Unfortunately there is not, if you are looking to keep your number active for more than 90 days, you will need to pay $15 plus taxes for your monthly rate plus any tab charge applicable. This only works for six months. Another option if you do not have a tab owing is to port in your number to a prepaid service and port back to Koodo Postpaid when you return. You will need to open a new account for this procedure
