Even if it's internal, if a problem that impedes functionality of the device is caused by physical or liquid damage, the manufacturer will not cover it. Koodo doesn't make the phone; Samsung does. This is the same policy with Apple, LG, Motorola, HTC, Sony, you name it. I think you're going to have to fix the screen for the quoted price.

There is an extended warranty available from Koodo (and many retailers have their own) that would cover you from these sorts of things but it's a bit late to add it now. Did the rep tell you about that? Where/who did you buy the phone from?

Yes, that says "defects". That means WiFi isn't connecting, not reading SIM cards, freezing, doing things on its own, screen defects (not cracks), etc. But if any of those things are caused by physical or water damage (including cracked screen) then the manufacturer doesn't cover it.

The Koodo shop in question can send it out for repair like stated in your agreement but again, Samsung makes the decision.

The screen had 2 little cracks on the inside so they called it internal no water was in my son's pocket not dropped..should I call or email Samsung as I feel it's a default as my son took care of it and the other one he had he's very causious with his electronics again ty for your concern..my koodo sales rep was also very helpful and felt bad.....

Hi Janice,

In the screenshot you provided, there was a link in bold print koodomobile.com/warranty. On the page that that link refers to, it clearly states what is and isn't covered, in much greater detail (there's only so much room on our Service Agreements). Please check out that link, and it'll be much clearer for you :).
