Depends on what youre looking for. Prepaid you just need a sim card and to load up, pick youronthly plan, and top up monthly. Postpaid will require you get a credit check.

If you have a number that you want to keep, you will need to contact Koodo to have your number ported over. Your account with your previous carrier would get cancelled and then you'd have a final bill to pay off.

How many minutes do you need? How much data? You can pay as little as $10/month (not with Koodo) or $13.50/month (Koodo) or as much as $125/month - depending on your needs and wishes.

You can look at the plans here: https://www.koodomobile.com/rate-plans?INTCMP=KMNew_NavMenu_Shop_Plans and then click "No Tab", then go with the biggest plan you can afford. Or you could visit a Koodo store and ask them to go over the options and pick a plan together - you seem a little vague in knowing what exactly you want (no shame in that) and they are trained for that!

@Bonnie: Koodo has many type of plans you could find it here https://www.koodomobile.com/rate-plans

You need data to access internet (either wifi or cellular). Depending on your need, you can select the plan there. (Select No Tab will let you see the Bring your own device plans).

You could also look into prepaid https://www.koodomobile.com/prepaid-plans or its sister/brother carrier of Publicmobile. The options are plenty.
