I noticed that the tab plus the amont u pay is more than the price of the phone if u buy it onlone. In addition the phone with the tab will be locked while u can buy cheaper unlocked phone online.

The tab plus is for people wishing to buy a device which costs over 360$ and want koodo to finance it for them.

One would also need to pick a more expensive tab plus plan to use tab plus

Depends on the phone you're looking at and the plan you want. Tab Plus usually isn't a good idea because the plans are inflated.

Not everyone can afford the whole phone price upfront. What the Tab does is basically finance the cost of it over 24 months.

Depends on the phone and the manufacturer's policy. Some of the latest Motorola phones are way more expensive to buy online from Amazon or eBay than they are to acquire from Koodo or other bundle supplier once the price of included incentives are counted in.

But those prices are all subject to change. It's keep yourself up to date and buyer beware.

In other countries there is nothing called locked phone. U have more freedom and Canada's rates are the most expensive in the world

It doesn't matter what is the norm in other countries. This is North America, and in North America phones are typically locked to their provider.

Once again It depends on the phone you're buying. If we're talking about iPhone 6, sure, the retail is lower than Koodo's. That's because Apple just dropped the price (I use that term lightly) but Koodo has to run through all of their stock that was bought at the original price point before dropping it to the new rate.

If we're talking about the G3, then it's a different story. There's actually an incentive to get it on a monthly because there's activation credits/discounts that only come into play when using the Tab. If you bought those phones retail, you don't get any credits. On top of that, there's usually gift cards or in store credits offered on new subsidized phones that you don't get with retail purchased phones. It's the norm in the wireless industry in Canada.

Also I unlocked my HTC M9 for 4 bucks on eBay and I got quoted $20 for my S6. Not every phone is that cheap to unlock but unless it's an iPhone it's usually not a significant expenditure either.
