Want to use an Online Deal - Keep Same Plan - Not Use a Credit Card. What are my options?

Hello, and thanks for taking the time to read.

I'm due for an upgrade, and had a positive tab when they shut them down.
If I order online, I can get the LG Q Stylo+ with $0 up front and $9/month on a tab small plan.

My current plan is a grandfathered $29 talk-and-text which I don't want or need to change.
1. Can I get a new phone on tab small and still keep my current plan?
The "new" $30 plan is worse than my existing one, and the $35 plan is just a more expensive version with extra minutes, when I don't even come close to using the minutes I already have.

When I go to checkout, it requires a credit card to complete the process. I do not currently have a credit card, and want to keep it that way.
2. Can I forego the credit card requirement for an online order somehow, or use a temporary or Visa gift card perhaps?
I understand there is some sort of regulation/requirement for this step, but I'm wondering if I can satisfy it by ordering by phone or some other means to bypass this step.

If all else fails:
3. Can I do this at a kiosk/in person?
I realize the answer is ordinarily no for online vs. in store deals, but I don't know how rigid that policy is, or whether it's possible to use an authorized dealer to make an online purchase. I don't need to walk out of a store with a phone in hand. I will still be making the purchase online, but perhaps a kiosk could process the transaction for me and simplify the process?
I don't mind a service charge for using their time if necessary, I'd just like to know if it is an option.

I've had very few issues with Koodo, and have been a customer for ~10 years, maybe longer, so I'd like to continue. This is the only time I haven't been able to find a comparable deal in-store, and I'm a little lost. I don't want to switch carriers, but I've done my due diligence. If I can't take advantage of this online deal, it might make more sense for me to make a change, since new customers often get better deals than existing ones.
Change scares me, so I would much rather find a way to make this work, if at all possible.

Any assistance or advice is appreciated.

You should be able to meet your current plan if you opt for tab small.

That I'm not sure about and perhaps someone more knowledgeable can chime in for that.

You can definitely go in person if it comes to it. You just have to pay 30 dollars then.

Thanks for the response!

Who would I talk to about keeping my current plan?
Are you saying I can get the online deal in store, but would have to just pay the activation fee?

@Jasen
1. I  believe your current plan is a BYOD? you might not be able to keep it, and have to pick something with  a Tab Small. If the rateplan wasn't preferaable, I would suggest you buy a phone somewhere (amazon, bestbuy..) to keep the grandfather plan.

2. I don't think you can bypass the credit check if you want to have a Tab, the purpose of the credit card is to find your credit profile in their system.

3. You could do it at a Kiosk ($30 connection fee). Some 3rd parties store like wowmobile, walmart, bestbuy, themobileshop have various extra credit also.

1. Yes you can keep your plan with Tab S
2. If the webstore requires a credit card in the ordering form, there is no by passing it.
3. How did you receive your promo?  What does it say exactly?

Thanks for the response!

Online checkout doesn't give me an option to keep my current plan. It doesn't seem to allow me to bypass the plan selection step either. If in-store is the only way to keep my plan, then I'm stuck again.

My promo is:
Visit any Koodo location and upgrade for a phone discount of $70. Or upgrade ONLINE with the Tab and get $150 off of any phone!

It's in the notifications on my Self-Serve and I've had it texted to me a few times, I just wasn't ready for a new phone yet. It says it's because they retired my old style tab with a positive balance (that was just over a year ago).

I can get everything I want in this online offer, cheaper, and in-store (both down front and monthly), if I switch carriers. If I didn't want to stay with Koodo, I'd already have a new phone. I simply don't like change and have had minimal issues with Koodo, so I'm trying to find a way to get close enough to the other offer that I can justify staying with Koodo.
If I can't get the online offer somehow, it doesn't look like it will be possible.

Thats weird.  I thought that all plans would qualify for at least Tab S.

If it is not showing up, i would send a private message to Koodo via facebook or twitter and they can look into it

Not sure, but Tab Small is limited to a minimum plan of $30 according to what I read online. Since my plan is $29, it doesn't technically qualify.

My Plan $29: 200 Minutes, Unlimited Messaging, the standard evening/weekend, call display, voicemail, etc.
Tablet Plan $30: 500MB of data, 0 minutes, unlimited incoming messaging.
Lowest Phone Plan $35: 500 Minutes. Otherwise the same as what I have now.

I don't need any more minutes. I don't need data. Switching my plan will just mean paying for stuff I don't want/need.

Been waiting for the phone I want to be in stock locally. Once it is, I'll go in and see what I can do in-store. Will update then. If that doesn't go well, I'll try contacting Koodo.

If the system won't allow it, see what you can do by contacting them. It's off by only a dollar. I'm hoping / thinking you can get an exception.

UPDATE: Satisfaction Achieved, but it wasn't easy.

1. Tried 3rd party authorized agent. Best they could do was $50 down, $30 activation, $35/month (plan upgrade), and $9/month tab charge. However, he listened to me and genuinely tried to help.
2. Tried official Koodo kiosk. They offered me the exact same thing, but rather than try to understand or help with what I wanted, their focus was entirely on trying to get me onto a tab medium plan.
3. Called Koodo. Waited on hold for over an hour before getting to speak to someone. Took over 2 hours in total of back and forth, being put back on hold to check things, come back with different options, switch to a different rep, etc.
Final result was a cheaper but similar plan (more minutes and looks a little different on paper, but is essentially the same as the plan I was trying to keep). Ended up with $0 down, $30 activation,  $27/month, and $9/month tab charge. Was also able to pick up the phone at the kiosk immediately after.

While I don't like or agree with how difficult it was to get to that point, I'm satisfied with the end result. All I wanted was to keep my plan and get the deal they were offering online (whether that be in store or by skipping the ordering system/credit card step).
I appreciate the people I spoke with on the phone making the effort to keep me around. I was prepared to go with the cheaper option from the carrier next door (literally, about 30 feet from their kiosk) after step 2., but someone talked me into calling (and helped me wait on hold for over an hour), because they knew I really didn't want to make that change.
