VoLTE + WiFi Calling

Is there any update on when/if VoLTE + WiFi calling are coming to Koodo? It doesn't make sense as Koodo is the only major carrier in the GTA to not have it implemented.

Bell/Virgin + Rogers/Fido + Freedom all have it. What's the delay in implementing it with Koodo? I don't understand what 'testing' needs to be done when it's on the same network, and going to be functioning in the same way as Telus. Other comparable companies have other perks at the same rate (Spotify + Data Bytes with Fido, Virgin has Member Benefits). Why can't Koodo at the least give the same basic features, if not adding on it's own incentive like other companies?

Koodo has shock-free data. I’ve had Rogers and Virgin before. I don’t really use their “perks,” I find more value with shock-free data. Saved me from over-paying when I didn’t want to.

I do agree on VoLTE and VoWifi, it would be nice to have those features.

VoLTE is more important to me than  wifi-calling. It could improve voice quality and phones don't have to switch from LTE to 3G for calling.

WifiCalling is a nice thing to have but it will work with certain Koodo devices only. Android phones from other carriers seem to be out of luck on Koodo/Telus network. (Oneplus and Essential devices might work)

WiFi calling is very important to a lot of people who live in a area where cellphone service is very poor hardly any single from the cellphone towers try living in an area where we live you have to drive to the next town probably around 6-8 miles we been after Telus to install some kind of booster for the last few years i see Telus has it with the Lgg6 but there plans are anit cheap like Koodo just wondering when or if Koodo gets the WiFi calling what phone they would use if the same as Telus the Lgg6

Refer to Ranjan's comment here:
Telus is not showing any love to Koodo and next time Fido has a nice plan, I’m moving 4 of my family lines from Koodo to Fido. I see NO hope for Apple Watch, volte or wifi will come but god knows when. I regret not moving during 60$ 10gb ordeal but hopefully even anything returns, I’ll moving

Wi-Fi calling is a great feature on paper, but in practice it's a bit of a nightmare for people like me that don't typically get their devices through carriers as it's only available on select devices.

But I agree, it should be rolled out.

I've personally used WiFi only carriers and they worked great, especially while roaming.

its absolutely ridiculous that koodo hasn't set up wifi calling yet.  they are the only major carrier that doesn't have it.  even telus has it which owns koodo i believe?  i work in an area with horrible cell phone signal and great wifi.  would like to be able to make and receive calls through wifi.  get it together koodo.  I am pretty sure ill be moving to a carrier that works in this time period and has options that should be avail.

I mean. I'd recommend doing so. There's no point in waiting around if you could really benefit from it and get it somewhere else.
