Wireless home phone connected to Panasonic portable system. Routine calling works fine. When I get a voice mail. I receive the notification, as desired. I go to VM using the home phone system access, listen to the messages, and then usually delete them. When there are no more messages, I simply hang up. The voice mail notification does not cancel. I have waited for up to an hour and the notification remains on the Panasonic screen. I then access VM a second time, using the exact same access procedure, and VM says I have no messages. Now when I hang up after the second access, the notification clears itself. It seems to be a pattern. I have to access VM once to hear the message, then access it a second time to remove the notice. Am I doing something wrong? Is there a way to force the system to cancel the notification while I am still in VM (the first time) after just listening to or deleting my VM messages?

I would contact Panasonic first and see if they can help you out here. They will know specific details to your model and may be able to help you out.
