My cousin, who is in the states and is currently with Verizon, has his old iPhone 4 sitting around. Does any one know for sure weather or not the phone will work on the network? I get a feeling like it will if we can unlock it but the other problem is weather or not the phone can be unlocked.

Anybody have any insight on this????

Any help would be appreciated!

Hard to say. Verizon iphones are strange hybrid cdma/gsm devices and don't exactly compare directly with most iphones.

Most likely can't be done, due to Verizon's really screwy network system.

No, it won't work. The Verizon iPhone 4 is a CDMA-only phone -- it does not take a SIM card.

Hey Jake,

This link: should help you identify your iPhone 4.

The Model number model is written on the back of your iPhone.

Hope this helps!
