If I have 2 phones on the same bill with 50 text messages available on each, can I use, say, 100 messages on the first phone and none on the second without extra billing cost?

Unfortunately, no. Koodo does not currently offer "sharing" of rate plan features between lines.

Which plan is it? Is it grandfathered? All of Koodo's new plans include Unlimited messaging so they may be worth a look...

The new plans have been upgraded a lot. They now cover Caller ID, Voicemail and Unlimited texts, but however the minutes are now per-minute and not per-second. (depending on what grandfathered plan you had).

No. Koodo does not allow sharing between numbers for the text limit. Same goes for minutes and data but you didn't ask about those :P

Those plans also includ. Per minute billing, something to think about before changing plans. If you change from a plan that is no longer offered you won't be able to switch back.
