Using my Blackberry abroad.

I recently moved to Vietnam and brought my unlocked Koodo Blackberry Curve 9300. I used to only have the bb social plan with koodo, and now have a 3G plan. However, none of my apps (bbm, facebook, twitter, etc.) work anymore.... Is there a way to reset the software on the phone so that they will be compatible with my new plan?

Actually no, you need a BlackBerry specific plan in Vietnam (or anywhere else for that matter) that would allow access to Blackberry Internet Service or BIS. This is done by provisions on your sim card through your carrier. Contact your new carrier and see if they have plans which include BIS.

Your old BlackBerry Social plan allowed limited access to BIS for those specific apps.

In the meantime all you can do is use a computer and the BlackBerry desktop software to download and install opera mini so at least you can use a browser over 3g or wifi.

This is actually a limitation of your device and is not because it was a koodo phone, thankfully, newer BlackBerry 10 devices do not require this type of connection.
