I will go to US from Canada tomorrow and my friends will go to US from China. After I bought this $45 30 days plan and after I arrive at USA, if I call my friends' China cell phone number or I call my friends in China, do I need to pay extra (rate?) or it is included in this plan?

Hi there...

I have to be honest with you, you got me thinking on this one!!!

I would say if you are able to make calls to China, you could be charged pay per use rates and that is 1.50$/min.

Let's see until we have an official answer or until I could figure it out....

Enjoy your trip!

Can you give me an official answer soon as I need to think about this plan?

If it is a Chinese phone number you are calling, you will be charged. If you look at the Nitty Gritty of the US Add-ons, under point #2:
Includes calls within the U.S. and to Canada. Excludes directory assistance calls (411) calls.
Please note the wording. "within the U.S and to Canada". This means, you can call any phone number that is a U.S number and call any Canadian phone number. If you are in Canada, from what I read on the Koodo website calling a Chinese number is 0.50$ per minute. I'm not sure if you will be able to benefit from that rate, but roaming in the U.S costs 1.50$ per minute and this again is only for calls within the U.S and to Canada.

The exact charge you will be charged per minute for a call to China is hard to tell, you are better to call customer service for a definite answer.

As to your initial question, the answer is No.

Hey there,

As Mathieu well said, the US add-on only covers you for calls made from US to US and from US to Canada. For calls made in China you will only be covered by the add-on for regular airtime and you will need to pay for Long distance $0.50/minute.

Hope this helps!
