US Roaming Combo - Picture messages?

Going to the States soon, debating between getting the roaming combo or just talk and text add-on. In Canada, when my data's disabled I don't seem to be able to send or receive MMS, despite it being listed as "Unlimited" in my plan, which leads me to believe that these messages are instead on my data plan (and frustratingly can't do MMS on wifi). However, the US Roaming Combo add-on says it excludes MMS. Will I be charged extra if I try to send, or receive, an MMS while in the States with this add-on?

Mms uses the data pipeline to send pictures so data needs to be on. But while in canada mms is included and you are not charged for the data used sending mms. However you are responsible for any background data usage.

However while searching on koodo's site I do not see any mention of mms being included anywhere while traveling. I'm not sure of this means if roaming is not allowed and can't be done or if the roaming charges for mms is very high (if so what is that rate)

Well, they do say it's excluded, but if I turn off my data would my SMS still work in the US?

SMS will still work, just not MMS.

Roaming Text add-ons exclude MMS messages (picture and video)...

Being that said, if you take the Combo since there is data included, I guess the worst thing that could happen is that your MMS does not work, which I think will be the case since it is well stated that they are not included...

While I like that Koodo has US Roaming choices, I don't like the prices.
I'd instead suggest you unlock your phone then pick up a pre-paid SIM when you're in the US. Initially (the first time you go to the US) it'll cost you more since you'll need to pay to unlock your phone, however, if you plan to travel often it'll most likely be the cheaper choice in the long-run.

MMS uses data, so the US Roaming Combo or Pay-Per-Use data would need to be used in order to access while roaming.

I'll update the descriptions so that's more clear!
