Upgrading to new phone and plan

I just went to my local kioske/booth in the mall and asked about upgrading to a nexus 4 (they still have in stock) and was told I would have to change my plan from the $25 plan I am currently on. What they couldn't tell me was whether I would use the medium tab with the $29 plan, which would make the phone $0 instead of $150. The manager said that they could put it through and see if it went, but I would like to know for sure before making the upgrade decision.

Thank you

If you want a Tab Medium you need to have a current plan or a plan of $30 or more.

If you want a Tab Small, then any present or past plan will work

The $29 plan DOES qualify for Tab M. This of course effectively makes it a $34 plan until the tab is paid off, but it does qualify.

Oh OK, the manager there said there were recent changes to the plans so he wasn't sure if it would go through or not. That makes it sound much better.

Thank you very much.

Now when I go in is there a way I can assure them that it does qualify? Can they call someone to check? I just don't want to be that guy walking in and saying "nah guys I looked it up on the internet and it's cool! write me up!" haha

Refer to Timo's post and get assurity from them to make sure what they did is correct. From my experience you cannot trust a retailer from what they say.

Sounds like poor training on the kiosk's part but don't generalize that about all of them, bud.

I guess my question is really, who are the people on here that are answering my question? Do you guys work for koodo? (hope there is no offense taken in that statement) That way I can tell the sales reps who I was talking with in relation to koodo.

Thanks again

I work for Koodo tech support. We received an email when the $29 plan was introduced specifically saying that it does qualify for Tab M.
