Upgrading Phone and SIM Size is different

I have a Samsung Galaxy Ace II and $90 left on my tab. This phone has a standard SIM. I want to upgrade to a BlackBerry Q5, which is a microsim.
Are the microsims free with the purchase of the phone?

How do I go about the upgrade? When I click swap phone to change, its asking for the new SIM, which I know will change because both phones have different SIM size. I was thinking about buying it straight of the site by clicking Add to Cart, but I don't know if that will go towards paying off my existing TAB or if it will open a brand new phone line.

What do I do?

Yes, microsims are free with purchase. You will get one with your Q5.

Your tab is not connected or associated with your phone. It is tied to your account. Getting a new phone has no effect on paying off your tab whatsoever, it's going to keep getting paid off every month.

Just do what you were going to do. Add it to the cart (don't add a plan and you wont be forced to pick one) and checkout and when it arrives at home, go to "swap phone" and choose the "new sim card option", put in the sim card number, click confirm, put the microsim in the Q5 and within 15 minutes your new phone will be good to go.

But when you upgrade your phone through Koodo, you have to pay off current tab.
When you clicked "Add it to the cart", "pay off tab" screen will show up if you have a negative tab.

Will adding the phone to the cart and buying online start up a new phone line, or will I just get the phone?

You will just get the phone sent straight to you. No other lines will be added to your account. Just like Ahmad said, you will just have to go to the swap phone option on your self serve site and then chose the new sim card option to put in that number and then your good to go after the sim is active and in the Q5.
