Hi, I currently own an Iphone 7 and was wandering about how much would it cost to upgrade it to an Iphone X. Like, does an Iphone 7 in perfect condition has a good value?

Koodo doesn't do trade-in. You would have to sell the iphone 7 yourself, pay the Tab (if you have) and get the IphoneX.

That is too cheap for an iPhone7, for real. Apple offered $390 (https://www.apple.com/ca/iphone/trade-up/) and fido offered $375 (https://rq.fidotradequote.com/devices/30559). And those prices are even low compared to market prices on kijiji or Craigslist  I don't think Koodo is paying a fairprice there.

The price wasn't available for customers to check and not "fair", I think Koodo should not name it "trade-in" but "salvage-in".

fido offered $375 for 128 GB.  Erwin is using  32 GB for estimate value.

You can use this link to see similar estimation.  (Of course final value will be determined at a store)
https://www.bestbuy.ca/en-ca/trade-in-program.aspx

You don't get much value from carrier trade in, but some people doesn't want go through kijiji or Craigslist  and I guess they just do it for convenience.

Mayumi, the link is a bestbuy estimate, which is a "third party" partner. He mentioned about a Koodo direct offer. The above metioned apple offer  was actually for a iPhone7 32GB (390). Fido offered $325 for a 32.

The point wasn't about the price, as he mentioned, there could be a bonus at the time of activation.

What I meant was: Koodo program is not a proper "trade-in" for customers. 2 areas that Koodo can improve is transparency and value.

I believe Erwin is still working in Koodo/Mobil store, that's why he can check the trade in value from Koodo. Other people like me and you can't access to it, so BB's tool is close to check your device value.
That's why I put it there.

Trade in value through carriers are not great. Koodo seems lowest on online info. But even Fido small print says online and in-store values may vary.

I agree and I wish Koodo can give more value on trade in device tho.
Search "Sell your iPhone Canada" and you will find start-ups that offer more money than these large corporations.
