Yeah you'll need to pay it off first. You can pay off what's left of your tab if you've been with Koodo for over 90 days or just after 24 months.

Unless you're in QC you need at least 45 dollar plan to qualify for tab medium now so no unless you change your plan or opt for tab small if that's an option for iPhone which lately it hasn't been.

Yes you would pay the upfront cost and the rest of the 360 would be paid off on the tab at 15 a month.

The thing to remember is that your tab and plan are married to your SIM, not your current handset. As long as you keep up your regular payments, there is nothing to keep you from putting that SIM (or a replacement if you need a different size) into another phone that you borrowed or own.

What gets complicated is trying to open a new tab, since only one can be active at a time. At that point, you reach a settlement (paying of the existing tab), and the divorce is complete. Hello new best friend and relationship.

It might pay you to keep your current plan and buy a phone outright, or take on a new tab bargain while giving up your old plan. It's for you the figure out. Do the math over 24 months of ownership.
