I would like to upgrade my iPhone 4 which has no current tab balance, to an iPhone 6. I do not want the tab plus as I would like to keep my current plan which is not available with it. Can I pay the difference and continue to use the regular $150.00 tab and plan I had before?

They changed their tab system. Koodo no longer contributes for your tab(phone)

If you want to upgrade your phone to  iPhone 6 16GB  with a new tab (you can put up to $360):
Retail price  is $864
You can pay $504 upfront and put $360 on the tab.
Your tab charge will be $15/mo > Your plan + $15 = your new monthly charge

You can pay more upfront to reduce monthly tab charge.

Actually
That's a Tab Plus for that phone so you can put more than $360 on Tab.
so you  pay $360 upfront and put $504 on the tab.

and the rest of what you said is correct

If you buy a phone with Tab Plus, you have to use one of the Tab plus plans.
Since she want to keep her current plan, I used only regular tab option.
If she doesn't mind to switch her plan, yes, she can use Tab plus.
