Purchased the HTC One M8 online w/ the $242 activation credit (and paid $5 for the SIM card), however my agreement shows this:

Cost of your phone:
Full Retail price: $410.00
Total Tab amount: -168.00
Your upfront phone cost: $242.00

Want to make sure I'm not charged the $242 as it should have been $410 - $168(tab) - $242 (activation credit) = $0 upfront cost

Thank you!

Receipt shows this

Charges for today
NEW HTC ONE M8 GREY ANDROID LTE KOODO$168.00
Tab discount-$168.00
KOODO V3 NANOSIM$5.00
Shipping Free
Sub tota l$5.00

Hi David,

You will be charged 7$ per month to pay back the tab, plus your monthly phone plan, plus taxes.

Thanks, I got that part - just wondering about the upfront cost being $242 on the agreement as it should be $0

Can you post a screenshot of this David? I'm a little confused with the information you gave me.

Receipt when order was placed on Friday

Agreement received on Monday

Not sure why it has an upfront cost of $242 on the agreement when the receipt shows a cost of $0. Just want to make sure I don't get billed for the $242 in the future.

Reading between the lines from what other folks have posted here, your "activation credit" of $242 cancels out the upfront cost.

If you keep the account active for 90 days or more, you are good to go, but if you cancel before then, you may be on the hook for any activation credit or the value of any other incentives (gift cards, etc) applied at the time of purchase.

Retail Price of iPhone 5S 16 GB is $634.00.

With Tab : Upfront (= the amount you pay when you buy it )$274.00  + $360 on Tab
You will pay $15/mo for next 24 months to pay off your tab

There is a promo with this phone now as "Activation credit" of $274
So, your upfront cost will be $0.
(You still have tab fee to pay it down each month)

Oh. I never seen ppl that opening date is the first date of the billing cycle...

Then your first bill should be the number I gave you above.

Add:And you should receive your first bill very soon.
Your first bill usually includes partial amount + 1 month full bill.
