If you are moving providers, you can just port your numbers over and that will cancel your service automatically.

Koodo tends to bill until the end of the billing cycle when you cancel so if you want the bill to go until the day of porting over, you need to contact Koodo to do that after you have ported out.

Also make sure your phones are unlocked so you can use it with your new provider.

And make sure you pay your final bill (will be in self serve after a month or so) or else it might remain unpaid and get sent to a debt collector and go against your credit report

By all means, unlock first while you are still a client. Follow Dennis's advice.

Billing while you have no service is just another cash grab not designed to enamour Koodo with customers who might want to return. Enjoy your last wait on hold with customer service. They will probably insist that you pay the last bill as-is and then issue you a refund cheque down the road for the difference. Don't get on your hobby horse and refuse to pay. They DO report to the credit bureaus and nobody needs a black spot forĀ  $10 upaid.
