I had my phone unlocked when I left the service. I paid 35.00 for this but the phone is not unlocked anymore. Called koodo, they tell me I had to write down the unlocking code. Nevermind service paid for...

The way unlocking works Is you enter the unlock code after booting the device with a sim card from a foreign carrier.

Once a device is unlocked in this way, in general, it is. permanent.

What makes you think your device ever is now locked?

What did you do with the code koodo gave you.?

It happened to me before. I paid my $35 and I got an unlocking code from Koodo. It seemed to work at first but when I was in Europe and I needed my phone unlocked, it was not. I was lucky because I never trust in anyone and I had another unlocked phone with me, not my favorite but, in emergencies....When I returned to Canada I had to spend almost 45 minute on the phone with a Koodo agent to get my phone unlocked. Ultimately the process ended up successfully and permanently but it was a big waste of my time.

Well I was told to piss off that it was my responsibility to write the code down which they did not tell me at the time. If I paid for the service it should be guaranteed. I need the code again or my 35.00. Simple as that.

I've unlocked many Koodo phones, and every single time the agent started to advise me on how to complete the unlock before I politely informed them that I already knew the procedure.

I'm not saying that the agent didn't make a mistake in your case. I'm going to see if an employee can check into this for you.
