Unlocking phone for use in UK

I have a Koodo phone, Motorola E (2nd Generation) and I was wondering if I unlock it through koodo would I be able to get a sim card in the UK for it? would that work? Thanks!

Yes. As soon as your phone is unlocked, you can put a SIM card for any network provider that is compatible with the phone
