I have an unlocked iPhone 5S and I'm trying to configure it to work on Koodo. My Koodo SIM card registers but I only see 3G network connectivity, no LTE. Is there something special I need to do to make it work?

If your settings show that you have enabled LTE, you might be in an area where it is not available... otherwise it should work :)

Where did you get this unlocked iPhone 5s?

It might not be the right LTE model hence why your LTE is not Working

With LTE: It will not stay on 24/7 and will frequently revert to 3G and back, especially if you're in certain area's or even certain area's of a building.

It was originally locked to Rogers. Would that be a different LTE band than Koodo?

I don't think it's a coverage issue: I have a Telus phone that gets LTE just fine right next to this one.

No, it's not a different LTE band. Read my comment above and Sophia's as well.

Make sure you have a V3 SIM Card which is LTE capable

All Nano SIMs are V3/LTE capable from launch so that isn't an issue.

Thanks for the replies. Paul, how would I know if it is a V3 SIM card?

don't worry you have one, as jonathan said all nano sims are v3 capable and the iphone 5s uses a nano sim.

I haven't seen the LTE symbol since placing it in the phone yesterday, though the coverage map shows the area as having 4G LTE. (Miramichi, NB)

Speed tests have shown sporadic pings (either seems to be around 100ms or 1500ms+) and speeds top out at around 3mpbs down and 0.5mpbs up. I think something is amiss.

Not sure if this might help either, but try to connect to iTunes to see if it tries to update your carrier settings.
