OK.  I am an old girl so cut me some slack here.  I'm a total blank on this stuff.  I want to purchase an Acer Liquid Zest 5 smart phone.  It is not attached to a carrier.  How can I find out if it will operate on my prepaid plan?

You would check on its specs that it has 850 or 1900 kHz for 3G/wcdma and for lte that it has 1700/2100 or 2600. There's others but that's the most guaranteed for service.

Willmyphonework.net is generally very good for this as well.

willmyphone.net doesn't list that specific model. The model being sold on Amazon.ca does 2G but no LTE bands, so I would not recommend.

Anyone shopping on-line should check for the frequencies Goran mentioned. If you are not technical, check for AT&T compatibility.

Any phone that works on regular Koodo post-paid will also work on prepaid. The only difference is in the removable SIM card they provide to identify you and your type of service.

Hi Bobbi would you happen to be buying it from Factory direct here in Canada? If so ask them which phone when you go in will work on Koodo or telus they're usually good with knowing, unless your buying online from there or anywhere else then scratch my comment lol.
