Please dont post your pin. You'll have to speak with a koodo rep directly. You can send a private message to Koodo via Facebook Messenger or DM via Twitter and they'll process the unlock for you.

My daughter has an inactive phone she had with Koodo previously. She’s trying to get it unlocked and told they can’t help her because she’s not a current customer. I know this to be against the CRTC ruling last December.

I thought that Koodo stopped requiring you to have an existing account recently. Guess not. I strongly disagree with it as well but I guess it hasn't changed yet. You can get anyone who is with koodo to send in the IMEI by sending a private message to Koodo via Facebook Messenger or DM via Twitter to get it unlocked

Sounds like you got a Koodo rep who was having a bad day. Koodo was actually very good about unlocking their phones and was even doing it before they had to on Dec 1st. I would call them back and you probably will get a different rep who will do it with no problems.

Yes, I think Koodo/Telus is quite helpful in unlocking. It could be an issue of "misunderstanding" somewhere. I would suggest you send message to their facebook with the IMEI, and make sure  the phone was from Koodo originally.
