I had my iphone 6 unlocked by bell yesterday. they say its done, we followed the directions to turn phone off and put new sim card in and then follow the prompts to set up phone. the problem is the phone is asking for the original icloud account, which is my sister inlaw but she does not know her password. can someone help?

hi Krista,
You would need to ask your sister in law to reset the password in the apple icloud.com. The iCloud activation lock is a different from phone unlock. It is controlled by Apple.

You need to ask the original user password (either find it or reset), otherwise the phone is unusable.

Again, I would suggest you visit an apple store, and ask for the detail. The feature is unique to Apple iOS

Your sister may know it as her iTunes password.

This is part of the FindMyiPhone security to prevent stolen iphones from being used.  Without it, your phone is basically a brick.  Apple will not help you bypass FindMyiPhone's activation lock
