I am going to Europe for two weeks. I would like to get a plan for my iphone when i am in europe because their rates are so much cheaper. if i unlock my phone here, what will it cost me? and what will it cost me when i return to Canada and want to reconnect to my Koodo plan.

Hello Andrea,

Unlocking an iPhone will cost you 50$ here. Also, for the cost when you return, you won't be paying anything. You just pop in your Koodo SIM card and that's it. It's not more complicated then that.

Here's if you want some more info about what plans you can get in Europe : http://prepaid-data-sim-card.wikia.com/wiki/Prepaid_SIM_with_data

It will depend on the company you go with.  You will need to do a little bit of reading from that link Robert gave you to figure out your best option.

Here is more details about the requirement to unlock your iphone: http://help.koodomobile.com/prepaid/prepaid-sim-cards-and-non-koodo-phones/can-I-unlock-my-koodo-pre...

Note that while you are travelling your will still be paying for your regular monthly plan unless you cancel it (you will lose your number and you have to repay any owing tab) or put it on seasonal hold ($15 and you will switch to an in-market plan when you get back)
