Unhappy with MotoG3

I'm really unhappy with my MotoG3. I got it because I'm a student and I couldn't really afford anything else. But it's incredible slow and doesn't even work sometimes. It has very little memory for photos and apps. The photos are low resolution. Any suggestions for a great deal?

Hi C,
What plan do you have right now, are you eligible for a Tab (small/medium)?.

Depends on your budget. In the same size /age class, but with double the memory and resolution I'm fond of the LG G3. LG features a removeable battery, which is not an insignificant advantage when considering an older phone. Despite some early teething problems, any currently working examples should be relatively problem-free and running Android 6.0.
In my neck of the woods, Kijiji price for Moto is around $85, LG G3 $125 so with a bit of luck you should be able to upgrade privately for $40-50.
If you are eligible for a tab, the Samsung Galaxy A5 from Koodo for $0 down and $10  month would be a slight improvement for about $200 more over the next 24 months.

There's several mid - range Xiaomi phones that are excellent budget options. The Redmi Note 4 or 5, or MI A1 for instance. If you are patient, you can snag excellent deals on Kijiji. Don't be afraid to negotiate a better price. My sister recently found a LG G6 for 200 even. Even LG G4s are barely more than G3s used. LG G5s are often listed for 200 or less.

You can also, if you qualify, and can afford something higher up, get an essential phone on tab medium for 0 upfront and total 360 over 2 years. It's a full blown flagship with 128gb storage and an excellent phone for the price. Be sure to get a good quality case to protect it and you'll have a phone that should last you for years.
