Unfair Data Charge

I was charged $5 for data usage. Apparently I used 0.57MB. I have data on in order to send and receive mms (which is in my plan). I modified the APN so only mms uses data. I restrict background data and I restrict all my apps from accessing data. I don't think this is fair I am charged for data that I don't even know I'm using.

If the charge is showing up on a generated bill, call Koodo and dispute it with them. If it's not, then you'll need to wait for the bill to come out. Koodo can't do anything about unbilled charges.

That's the pay-per use data rate. Anything between 26kb & 25mb will be charged $5.

With that being said, there is nothing we can do here to change that. You would need to call Koodo to see about a credit. It's not a matter of it being fair or not. It is a matter of the technology we have access to. Technology doesn't have feelings and as such, when data is on, the phone will be "Oh, she turned on the interent. Let's see if there are any updates."

That is why you were charged. If you had a chance to read the link I posted on the original thread, that may help. It is long but VERY detailed as to what to do.

Thats link I used originally to change my APN....sorry, it just angers me that somethings are out of my control.
