Have you lost your minds...as a handicapped person with fragile health, I have a cell phone that my caregiver carries, and I use my laptop to text shopping lists, necessary stops for the meds that keep me alive etc. THIS SERVICE WAS NOT AVAILABLE TODAY!i HAVE LOST A WAY TO COPE WITH MY DISABILITY, SINCE i CAN'T AFFORD 2 PHONES! this MAY YET TURN INTO A HUMAN RIGHTS ISSUE!

Use this email address: #msg@telus.com where # is the 10-digit phone number of the recipient.

Check out Chad's recommendation above:

https://community.koodomobile.com/koodo/topics/why-did-koodo-remove-the-send-a-message-service

always better to have an independent source that is not provider-dependent.

That should be (10-digit-number)@msg.telus.com
as per Timo

Hey there Michelle!  Just to clarify the link above, you can send a message from your email account to the phone number that you would like to text to (xxx-xxx-xxxx@msg.telus.com - replace the x's with the phone number). I tested it out with my Koodo phone and it worked perfectly!  There is also another suggestion that our mobile master Chad posted on the link above.  Hope this helps!

why did they have to make it so difficult? the other way worked just fine? also, will I incur and extra charges to text my caregiver who carries my phone? this is bovine fecal matter!

No, there are no additional service fees.

If you're putting the dashes in, don't. If your number is 555-555-5555, you would send a message to 5555555555@msg.telus.com

Possibly Yahoo Mail adds extra characters putting the message over the 200 or so character limit, or adds images?

It works for me from both my ISP supplied email account and Gmail account. Also from Yahoo webmail, with a considerable delay.

TY for trying to help, but I just cannot get these idea's to work! Koodo is losing a customer, time to go cell service shopping!
