Unable to make or receive any calls on $40 base plan

I am unable to make or receive any call using my koodo number. I changed my base plan from $55 to $40 few days ago and also restarted my phone several times but it is not working. Earlier it used to say that you dont have any boosters but now it just disconnects while making calls and all my incoming calls are going to my Voicemail. Please help resolve the issue.

If they don't work, check self service and see if your new base plan got activated correctly, Rajesh.

It says active but phone services says u need a booster plan.

Was your old base plan actually done when you made the change, it had been 30 days? If not you'll need to add a booster if your minutes included in your plan were up. The new base plan will kick in after the 30 days is up since activation of it.

First make sure airplane mode isn't on.
Also Try turning off your phone and taking your SIM Card out and then putting it back in and then turning your phone back on, your SIM might not be searing properly in the SIM Card tray of your phone.

Its not on Airplane Mode. Also i did reinsert sim card few times but its still the same. It shows the network signals but unable to connect.

At this point I would suggest you contact Koodo, Rajesh. Easiest way is by sending them a private message on Facebook. I'm sure they will be able to sort out your account :)

Issue fixed after writing an email to the Support. They changed something and I tried restarting the phone and everything works fine now. Thanks, everyone here for the support as well.


Here is the response from the support:

I hope my e-mail finds you well and I would like to thank you for taking the time to write to us!

 

I’m extremely sorry to understand that you are encountering some issues with your Koodo services and I will do my best to provide you with all the necessary details! 

Upon carefully checking you Koodo Mobile account, I can assure you that it is in a very good standing and it is provisioned with all the necessary features in order for you to receive our services.

Your base plan was property changed on 12th of July 2017 from the $55 one to the $40 one, as you have noted.

The $40 plan is active and it should definitely function. As you already know, it allows you to make & receive unlimited Province-Wide calls and a Talk Booster is required only for long distance calls.

 

Since you noted that the calls cannot be initiated, please note that I’ve just updated your plan, for troubleshooting purposes. However, at this moment, you have the same plan, the $40 one, which is active until 19th of August 2017.

 

My recommendation will be to turn OFF and ON your cellphone, to receive the changes from your account and to establish the network connection.
