Unable to contact customer service to activate SIM card

Hi,

I upgraded to a new phone during boxing week and I received it on thursday. I have been calling customer service since then, but I am on hold for around 45 minutes. I usually have to run errands or work and can't stay on hold for longer than that. What is the matter? There isn't a point on paying for a service if it is impossible for me to use it.

Unfortunately, the wait time is bad right now. I would suggest you try to call them early in the morning 9am.

You could visit a Koodo kiosk to ask them to activate the SIM. If your old SIM is still working and fit into the new phone, you could also use it.

@Alfredo, if it's SIM swap you want to do you could possibly just take the old SIM and put it in your new GS7.  This assumes you had an Android phone before. If that doesn't work, Crystal Mall is close buy and there is a Koodo/Telus store there. they can help you activate the new SIM.
I went to the store this morning, but I was told that they couldn't activate SIM cards. Is that correct?

Hmmm...that would be strange. Every store activates SIMs. However if you just wanted to do a SIM swap than, depending on the store they may not have access. Was it a Koodo store?

If it is just a sim swap since the old sim does not fit in your new phone, it might be easier to just send Koodo a private message on facebook or twitter and a rep can do it for you in a couple of days

Only if they have a wireless shop in the store (like The Mobile Shop)
