Was traveling through the U.S. a couple of weeks ago, and in advance of my trip activated a 10-day U.S. Data with Unlimited Minutes & Text add-on to my account.
My issue was that the service was TERRIBLE. The speed was unreasonably slow and too often there were difficulties maintaining a connection. I was in the main downtown centres of Philadelphia and Washington, DC so coverage shouldn't have been an issue, and it did not seem to depend on time of day or being in crowds etc. In the end, the price of the add-on ($40) was nowhere near worth what I got out of that service!

I came to Koodo's website today to track down a number to call customer service only to find they've implemented charges for calling. This seems insane. How do I actually get to speak to someone to voice my complaint and concerns over this terrible add-on?

*611 from your phone, option 5 for customer service. or keep pressing 0 to get a rep. They won't charge you for bill inquiry.

Hi Matt,

You can call using *611 from your mobile phone. The only time you get charged is if they do something you could of done over self serve.

The add-on has nothing to do with the connection you obtained during your US trip. All it does is reduce your costs to connect for the period. You may wish to discuss the poor connections to Koodo's service partners instead, to see if they can find better options.

What phone are you using? Settings can have an impact on your service.

I have an up-to-date iPhone 5S. I wouldn't expect that would have led to my the connection difficulties... but if it did, Koodo should be making customers aware that connection quality can be hardware dependent, such that the service one is used to at home might/won't be experienced while roaming...

Thanks for the info regarding how to actually speak to someone (without incurring extra costs)
