I have had Koodoo account for about 21/2 years now. i want to give my phone with all my features and keep the same phone number to a family member. i went to the store to have it changed over but they said I had to do it on line. But when I called Koodoo customer service, they adviced me to bring my family member to the store and tranfer it there. I feel I am getting the run around. What and how do I do this? i would greatly appreciate some would guide me in the right direction. thank you. sincerly Helene Roth

Hi Elaine,

To begin Koodo has not even been around for 21/2 years, but that's besides the point of the question and since you had a Koodo account for such a long time, I will assume you are post-paid.

The two sales reps that you spoke to seem to not really know much about it. When I had to switch the account holder of my account, I went to the Koodo stall and they told me they could not do it there it had to be done over the phone. I called Koodo up using *611 from my mobile device and they were able to do it over the phone. Both people (the current account holder and the new account holder) will have to talk to the rep over the phone. The current account holder will be asked security questions, and confirm with you that you want to change the account holder to the second person. The sales rep will then talk to the second person, get all of their information and set up the account.

Hope this helps!

Hi Helene,

I'm so sorry you got the runaround... in fact you can certainly transfer your prepaid account online, the store can't help you there. It is really easy, I have done it a few times as well.

All you need to do is visit and change the details such as the name and email address to your family member's name. You may need to call in to change the email address on the front page (it's a known bug) but that is all... then just give the phone and the login information for the self service site to the new owner.

Couldn't be simpler :D
