Traveling to China for 12 days

I am traveling along the east coast of China starting in Beijing ending in Shanghai. I am planning on using Skype/What's App to message my family I'm safe once a day. I won't be sending pictures or posting - that can wait till I get back in Canada. My biggest concern is navigating the airport to make it safely home on my way back and keeping in touch with the people that want to know I am alive. Will the EasyRoam for $12 a day cover that? I used it in Ireland which was great but for China considering I will only use it for 5 minutes max a day I don't want another $200 phone bill. Are there cheaper options?

Other than sticking to Wi-Fi, or getting a local SIM in China, no. Koodo does not currently offer other travel plans.

You are, of course, only charged on the days you use the cellular network.

Here are Koodos pay per use rates for China. If you can make this work cheaper than easy roam then go for it.
Voice rate: $2.50/min
Data: $10/MB
Outgoing SMS: $0.60

to use the pay per use rates, you just need to go to self serve and turn EasyRoam off
Awesome - thanks dude!
