cheaper voice, txt, and data rates, for those traveling. especially for short haul long term is one thing but if your away for a weekend or over night or even a day trip a cheap rate would be nice to be able to use our phones without a big charge 10-35$ extra charge to use our Phones capabilities for 1 or 2 days is excessive.

While that would be appreciated, there are alternatives such as getting your device unlocked then popping in a local SIM.
You can also use a Google Voice #.

Not perfect since people calling your Canadian # will get your voicemail, but you can setup your voicemail to have them call your alternative # while you're travelling.

You can also add our voice to the official thread by a Koodo representative, Andy :) http://community.koodomobile.com/kood...

When it comes to international roaming through your home carrier, unfortunately every other carrier in this country has Koodo beat. People have been asking for international roaming addons and packages for years, yet Koodo neglects to address the issue. Meanwhile, other carriers seem to get this is standard fare and offer international travel options. With Koodo, your options are limited to either 1) paying standard pay per use rates at insanely inflated prices, or 2) unlocking your phone and using a local provider. Unlocking and using a local provider is the smart thing to do if you're anywhere for an extended period of time, but if you're just in a country for a few days or a few hours, I think lots of people would appreciate an international roaming bundle priced in line with other national carriers.
