I am travelling to Sweden next week and my daughter wants to know if she can call me from her phone while I am there. I have a 416 number and she has a 905 number. Does this affect her billing?

She can call you but she will be charged roaming charges. She will be charged 1.50$ per minute

Not if she's in Canada. Only the person who is out of the country pays roaming charges. If they're both travelling, then they're both going to pay the roaming rate.

$1.50/minute, $5.00/MB and $0.60 per text sent and recevied.

If she wants to make sure she can use her phone in Sweden, she needs to make sure to adds the following add-ons before her trip:

-Pay Per Use Intl Long Distance
-International Voice Roaming

They can be added via her self-serve account. They're free add-ons but need to be on her account in order for her to roam overseas

Yeah, the responses seem to get to the point - but they don't know if your daughter is going to be there as well.

In general, the number you call is only affected by area code. So if you call a Toronto number, they can be anywhere around the world and it will count as a local call if you're also calling from a Toronto number (while in Toronto/Canada on Canada-wide plans). It doesn't matter where the other person is.

If you're both in Sweden and using your phones to call each other, you will both be charged long distance. Whoever (if any) of you is in Canada (or Toronto on a local plan) will be billed normally. Anyone in Sweden will be billed per minute for roaming if they pick up.
